Community Panel
Use the selected-community SpartanCAD panel, role-based access cards, default community controls, and permission keys.
Selected Community
The Community Panel is the selected-community landing page. It displays the active community name, slogan, logo, banner, Discord link, website link, and access buttons for the roles the signed-in member is allowed to use.
The panel loads the user's active community from the portal session and then checks community permissions before showing access cards.
Access Cards
The panel can show these access cards:

| Dispatch | Opens the CAD Dispatch workspace. |

| Judicial | Reserved for judicial workflows. |
| DMV | Reserved for DMV workflows. |
| Permission Key | Opens the permission key modal. |
If no role cards are available, the panel shows an empty access state. Ask a community administrator to approve the member, assign departments, or grant the required permissions.
Permission Keys
Permission keys let a member redeem access without an administrator manually editing every field. The key flow validates the entered key, refreshes the user's permissions, and then updates visible access cards.
Permission keys can be used for department or role access when the community has configured keys for those groups.
Default Community
The star button toggles the selected community as the user's default community. A default community is used by the portal and account workflows when the user has multiple joined communities.
Common Checks
If a member cannot access the expected panel, verify:
- They are signed in to the correct CAD account.
- The active community is correct.
- The member record exists and is approved.
- The member is not banned.
- The member has the correct role flag, permission group, or department assignment.
- The department is active and has the expected access type.
- Any required permission key was redeemed successfully.
